Three (One) O Does The Digital

MARINA DEL REY, California – May 5, 2010 – Film and commercial production company Three (One) O announced today that they have completed an extensive amount of work for Gatorade in conjunction with their digital agency of record, VML of Kansas City, Missouri. Directed by Norry Niven and produced by Elaine Sibert – the principal team behind Three (One) O – the work forms the core of Gatorade’s online presence for their expanded G Series of sports drinks: 01 Prime, 02 Perform, 03 Recover and G Sports Pro

Location work began March 12, 2010, and spanned several weeks as production shifted between Miami, Jamaica, Orlando, Los Angeles and New York City. The team shot a variety of professional athletes including world-record sprinter Usain Bolt, NFL quarterback Peyton Manning and NBA star Dwight Howard. The footage of these athletes is currently in rotation at Gatorade.com. Additional athletes were filmed for later inclusion on the site, including Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat, Australian tri-athlete Chris Legh and Major League Soccer forward Landon Donovan.
Moving beyond the featured athletes, Niven also filmed several vignettes of “old-time” athletes in period uniforms and scenes. These old-timers represent sports eras before the arrival of Gatorade when no one imagined athletes could achieve feats like those of Bolt, Manning, et al.

This work for Gatorade marks Three (One) O’s first major collaboration with the drink maker and VML. Credits for the agency include Group Creative Director Linda Bumgarner, Creative Director Tony Snethen and Executive Producer Tyler Smith. Postproduction was completed at [need info]
