The past few months have been busy at Three (One) O, which is always a good thing. We collaborated yet again with Fox on a extensive promotional package for American Idol, the anchor spot for which you’ll see below. Our relationship with Showtime is stronger than ever, as we shot an assortment of promotional spots for their various series and sporting events (including some work for the final season of Dexter and new shows Ray Donovan and Masters of Sex that we aren’t allowed to take the wraps off of just yet).
Proving that our storytellilng strenght extends beyond the 60-second mark, two of our directors are taking the film festival scene by storm. First, D!GBY’s short Hearts Gamble has been making the rounds and raking in awards. And Norry Niven’s feature debut Chasing Shakespeare has already made a splash at SXSW as it gains momentum for this season’s festival circuit.
NORRY NIVEN American Idol Season 12
New year, new judges, new dreams. And a new round of promotional work for American Idol on Fox. For this year’s cornerstone spot, Norry traversed the country capturing vignettes of young musical dreamers practicing anywhere and everywhere they can find, all while judges Randy Jackson, Keith Urban, Nicki Minaj and Mariah encourage their efforts.

NORRY NIVEN Shameless Season 3
Continuing his long-running association with Showtime, Norry lensed two promotional spots for season 3 of the network’s series Shameless. “Fiona’s Fairytale Ending”follows series star Emmy Rossum on her not so fairytale journey to work on theme night , while “Glam” sees the entire Gallagher clan – well-dressed for a change – stepping out of a car and into the pulsating lights of, not Paparazzi, but the cops.

NORRY NIVEN Showtime Championship Boxing
Aside from its cutting-edge original fare, Showtime is known for airing some of the world’s most-watched boxing match-ups. To highlight this, Norry lensed a spot featuring some of the sports biggest names, including Victor Ortiz, Canelo Alvarez, Peter Quillan, ring announcer Jimmy Lennon and analyst Mauro Ranallo among others.
D!GBY Hearts Gamble Short Film
A tale of four friends discussing live, love and fidelity over a game of cards, D!GBY’s Hearts Gamble has taken the festival circuit by storm. An official selection of New Filmmakers New York festival, among others, the film garnered Best Short Film at the Las Vegas Film Festival and Charlotte Black Film Festival.

NORRY NIVEN Chasing Shakespeare feature film released
Norry’s feature debut, Chasing Shakespeare, is currently making the festival rounds with appearances at the FirstGlance Hollywood Film Festival, Dallas International Film Festival and the Artisan Festival International Cannes World Cinema Screening Series, among others. The opening title sequence recently won the Audience Award for Excellence in Title Design at the SXSW Film Design Awards. The film stars Danny Glover, Graham Greene, Chelsea Ricketts & Ashley Bell.
